What Smaquli does for you
Smaquli is a recipe organiser app for your phone. Every recipe you save becomes a proper recipe with separate ingredients and steps. That’s why it can do what a screenshot or a bookmark can’t.

And also
- A timer on every step that has a time, with a beep, a vibration and a notification.
- Keep screen on, so your phone doesn’t go dark while you cook.
- Tick off what you already have, ingredient by ingredient.
- Notes on a recipe, like "less chilli next time".
- Cooked! counts how often you make something; everyone gives their own stars.
- Installs on Android and iPhone, from the browser.
- A dark mode.
- A bin that keeps things for 30 days.
- An export of your recipes and lists (JSON; photos are included as links).
What Smaquli doesn’t do (yet)
Better to be honest up front than disappointing later.
- No meal planner.
- No nutritional information.
- No importing from a photo, such as a page from a cookbook.
- No collections and no PDF export.
- No cooking mode with one step per screen. There is a timer per step and Keep screen on.
- No app in the App Store or on Google Play: you install Smaquli from the browser.
- Facebook and Pinterest don’t work with a link; you paste the text instead.
- The app is only in Dutch for now, and recipes are saved in Dutch.
