Cookie statement

Last updated on 21 October 2026

This is a translation of the Dutch text. If the English and the Dutch versions differ, the Dutch version applies.

A cookie is a small file that a website or app stores on your device. Here you can read which cookies Smaquli uses and how you decide about them. How we handle data is explained in the privacy statement.

We do not place cookies on smaquli.com without your consent. You give or refuse consent in the cookie banner from CookieConfirm. The only exception is the functional cookies of that banner itself. The banner needs them to work and to remember your choice:

  • CC_p_accepted_cookies: which kinds of cookies you allow. Stays for 30 days.
  • CC_p_consent_id: a random number that lets us show which choice you made. Stays for 30 days.
  • cc_location: the country you visit the site from. Stays for 1 year.

If you give consent, we load tags from Google through Google Tag Manager. These cookies can then end up on your device:

  • _ga and _ga_<id> (analytics, Google Analytics 4): only if you allow analytics cookies. They help us see how many people visit the site, which pages they look at and how they found us.
  • _gcl_au (marketing, Google Ads): only if you allow marketing cookies. This cookie remembers that you came to the site through an advertisement, so that we can measure whether an advertisement leads to a sign-up.

What Google itself does with data is explained in Google's privacy policy. _ga and _ga_<id> stay for 2 years, _gcl_au for 90 days.

The app uses one cookie: smaquli_session. It keeps you logged in. It stays for 90 days and is extended every time you use the app. The app does not work without this cookie, which is why we do not ask for consent for it. The app uses no other cookies.

4. Changing your choice

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the site. If you withdraw your consent, measuring stops from that moment. Cookies that are already on your device can be deleted through your browser settings.

5. Questions

If you have a question about cookies, email us at info@smaquli.com.
