Swap an ingredient, and the rest adjusts

The problem

No cream in the fridge.

Swapping an ingredient is more than crossing out a word. Crème fraîche splits when it boils, coconut milk is thinner, and if you swap chicken for chickpeas, the cooking time is off.

How Smaquli solves it

Pick a suggestion and see what changes

Type what you want, or pick from three or four suggestions. Smaquli adjusts the amounts, other ingredients, steps, times and temperature, and explains what changes. You see the changes highlighted.

Example

What swapping does

Suggestions, or your own idea
Smaquli makes three or four suggestions. If you have something in mind yourself, you type it.
The whole recipe adjusts
Not just the ingredient’s own line: other ingredients, the steps, the times and the temperature too.
With an explanation
You see why something changes. For example: only warm the crème fraîche through, or it will split.
Keep it as a variation
If it was good, keep it as a variation, such as "with chicken". The original stays as it is.

What it doesn’t do (yet)
